Need help

This is the first time I've posted to anything... the one thing I find is missing from Brooke's instructions for the heart is how to do the spider web rose. I've done other embroidery before, so I know a lazy daisy, but not the rose. Can anyone explain that here? I won't have pictures of mine for a little while, as that is yet another skill I'm still far from mastering.

  1. jb, you can do a google search and will find several websites that tell you how to do a spider web rose. The Victoria Sampler has an animated stitch guide (http://www.victoriasampler.com/StitchAnimations/Default.aspx) You basically make an eyelet stitch with 5 legs and then come up close to the center and weave over and under from the center to the outside which makes the spider rose. Let me know if you need more help. I finished the heart and LOVE it. You can see my finished heart on my blog (http://cattailsneedle.blogspot.com/) Good luck. Debra
